Why is everyone not on the CBD oil train yet? Because it is new and there is a stigma around CBD, comparing to that of marijuana containing THC. So, let me blow your mind and….welcome to the CBD train:

About CBD:

CBD is harvested from the plants that contain no THC (less than 0.3%) and is completely legal. CBD is not considered a drug. THC is the compound that causes a “high” feeling. CBD contains the benefits of the cannabis plant without the drawbacks of the psychoactive THC compound.

1. Chronic Pain Relief

Those suffering from chronic pain are finding relief with CBD. Canada has approved CBD for multiple sclerosis and cancer pain.

2. Reduces Anxiety and Depression

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, depression affects 6% and anxiety affects 18% of the U.S. population each year. Research thus far has shown that CBD oil can help with both!

Research has supported that CBD reduces level of stress and anxiety in those suffering from PTSD, social anxiety disorder and even obsessive compulsive disorder. Still being researched, but, CBD has also been shown to reduce stress and discomfort around public speaking.

3. Reduces Inflammation and Heart Health

Along with diet and lifestyle, CBD oil can help reduce chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation leads to diseases such as Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disease, heart disease, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information.

6. Fights Multi-Drug Resistant Bacteria

Researchers discovered that cannabinoids (including CBD) may have an unusual ability to destroy bacteria, especially drug-resistant strains.

A 2011 study found that CBD can also slow the progression of tuberculosis in rats. Researchers concluded that CBD likely does this by inhibiting T-cell proliferation, rather than possessing antibacterial properties.

More research is needed to find out how and why it works. Whatever the mechanism is for destroying bacteria, CBD seems to be a reliable weapon against the antibiotic resistant superbugs that are becoming a major problem today.

7. Fights Cancer

This study is too new to really provide strong evidence behind. However, CBD oil is looking very promising in slowing the growth and spread of certain kinds of cancer in animals, according to the American Cancer Society.

CBD for Pets:

CBD oil may help with all of the following in cats and dogs: separation anxiety, pain, lack of appetite, relaxation and excessive barking/crying. All mammals have an endocannabinoid system, meaning that CBD oils can have some of the same benefits for our furry friends as they do for us.

My Experience:

I do not smoke marijuana, nor have I ever been a fan of personally. I have often experienced anxiety, lack of sleep and chronic pain. A friend recommended checking into CBD as it was a natural remedy, I do not like medicine. LIFE CHANGING! CBD is great in relaxing and easing all of this.
